Carlo has founded OTAGO PTE. LTD. in April 2018, after his successful entrepreneurial experience as owner and CEO of Sustainable Green Fuel Enterprise (SGFE), which started in 2012.
In 2003 Carlo graduated with honors at the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Tor Vergata University of Rome and then started his professional career in the consulting business, working for INNOVA S.p.A. in Italy.
In 2005 he moved to Boston to open and become the CEO of the US branch of the INNOVA group. While working there, he developed a vast experience working on international technology transfer projects between the United States, Europe and Latin America.
In 2008 he resigned from INNOVA, working full time to open his own high-tech start-up company, which however didn’t turn out.
Therefore in 2009 Carlo took a sabbatical, travelling around the world and ended his trip in Cambodia where he decided to engage in some volunteering work.
In 2010 he started leveraging his engineering skills and management experience, working as a consultant for international organizations and NGOs in Cambodia. This is how Carlo got to know SGFE and took over the company in 2012.
The rest is recent history, Carlo grew SGFE thirtyfold in the first 6 years, making SGFE an innovative, growing and profitable business, which naturally resulted in the creation of OTAGO PTE. LTD.
